It is with sadness and regret that we inform you of the death of one of our Witney Dramatic Society family.
His family have at this time asked for privacy as they come to terms with their loss.
Steve, aged 28, started his association with the Society through many collaborations with Dramascope at a young age. Due to his and his brother Paul's natural comedic ability they were often cast as the villain's sidekicks in our Pantos, but he was talented in so many ways and for us, this came to the fore in our 2011 production of Little Shop of Horrors where he not only made us laugh and cry in the lead role of Seymour, He also directed the production with Grace's help and choreographed most of the numbers. Who can forget the finale zombie dance. It was his love of dancing that took him on to become a talented dance teacher and choreographer.
Those who knew him will agree that the stage will be a darker place wthout him on it....we will all be thinking of Steve as we perform our forthcoming play to be performed this weekend, 27th, 28th and 29th October.

THE PROJECT:
‘Surfing’ is a short film being made for the Channel 4 Random Acts 2016 scheme. This project is part of an exciting Arts Council funded programme where up-and-coming young filmmakers, carefully selected based on their skills, experience and career goals, are commissioned to make a 3 minute creative short film.
These films will be broadcast on the Channel 4 Random Acts website and have a strong chance of being selected for broadcast on Channel 4 TV itself. The scheme aims to develop emerging talent and create visually dynamic, unique films for a national audience. We are graduates and students of Oxford University.
The Snap Theatre Company are running a community semi-professional production of 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' due to open in August. This is a unique chance to work with a recognised Theatre Company (Snap Theatre Company) and be directed by award winning playwright/director Andy Graham.
Auditions will be at The Dovecote Stables, Churchill 28th/29th May 2016.
If you would like to get involved, please contact Andy Graham (Artistic Director) on 01608 659462
